C.A.P.E. C.A.R.T.E.R.E.T. Strategy
These are the Principles that make our Church unique here on the Crystal Coast.
Clear Structure –
Maximize Ministry & Minimize Maintenance
We are Pastor & Staff Led, Team Operated, Deacon Served, Church Ruled
To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. And I do all things for the sake of the gospel, that I may become a fellow partaker of it. 1 Corinthians 9:22-23
Meeting people where they are
And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:42
Purpose That is Defined –
Great Commandment & Great Commission
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, ”‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ “This is the great and foremost commandment. “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Exact Target –
Know who we are trying to reach (Unchurched & Post-Churched)
“Be wise in the way you act towards those who are not believers, making good use of every opportunity you have.” Colossians 4:5
Corporate Ministry –
Every member a minister
“This work must continue until we are all joined together in the same faith and in the same knowledge of the Son of God. We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection. Then we will no longer be babies. We will not be tossed about like a ship that the waves carry one way and then another. We will not be influenced by every new teaching we hear from people who are trying to fool us. They make plans and try any kind of trick to fool people into following the wrong path. No! Speaking the truth with love, we will grow up in every way into Christ, who is the head.” Ephesians 4:13-15
Active Worship –
We want people to be encouraged when they leave our services having taken an active role in them.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16
Focus on establishing right relationships with God and others.
If therefore you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. Matthew 5:23-24
Telling Others –
We want to empower the church for our mission in the world.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
Encouraging Preaching –
Relevant and practical
…so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.6 And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith. Romans 12:5-6
Real Compassion –
We want to be more than a friendly church, we want to be a caring church.
By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35
Keep on growing both spiritually and numerically.
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. Luke 5:37
Taking the Lead –
Demonstrating excellence in ministry and leadership in the Christian community.
